Disney is making a major change to X-Men studio Fox after buying it last year.
The House of Mouse is changing the name of the 20th Century Fox film studio to 20th Century Studios, while Fox Searchlight Pictures will be simplified to Searchlight Pictures, Variety reports.
Over on the TV end, Disney is said to have not made a final decision about whether 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios will be dropping the Fox.
While the change is a big step, it's also unsurprising given that Disney did not acquire the Fox broadcast network or Fox News, which could lead to confusion over ownership.
Variety adds that the name change is also down to the Disney brand protecting its family-friendly image after recent sexual misconduct scandals involving Fox News.
Meanwhile, Disney is preparing for the release of The New Mutants, which was filmed back in 2017 but suffered numerous pushbacks and planned reshoots largely due to the Fox-Disney merger.

But director Josh Boone has confirmed that there have been no reshoots since the Disney takeover.
Replying to an Instagram question asking if it will be the original version of the movie he shot, the director responded: "I wouldn't be promoting it here if it wasn't."
The New Mutants is released in the US on April 3 and in the UK on April 8.
