X-Men spin-off The New Mutants has had a rocky road to the big screen so far, and it's still got a few months until it's officially released.
Talking to Digital Spy and other press on a set visit in August 2017, Maisie Williams revealed that when she signed up for the role of Rahne Sinclair, AKA Wolfsbane, she spoke to her Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner.
"I watched certain X-Men films, but I haven't watched all of them. I don't know if that's bad of me to say that?" she laughed when asked about her preparation for the role.

Maisie went on to add that she'd asked Turner – who had recently starred as a young Jean Grey in the Marvel Comics-inspired outing X-Men: Apocalypse – about being in an X-Men movie.
"She was like, 'It just feels huge, it feels unlike anything' and I'm like, 'But we're on Game of Thrones and that's a really big TV show'. She's like, 'It's nothing like it in the movie world'. And it's true.

"I don't feel like I've ever done anything this big, and everyone's like, 'Are you kidding?'. It just feels different. It feels like there's this foreshadowing of, 'We're going to make this huge, really special'. That's exciting, but it's also something I haven't felt before."
Directed by Josh Boone, The New Mutants also stars Teen Wolf's Henry Zaga, Stranger Things' Charlie Heaton, The Witch actor Anya Taylor-Joy and The Originals actor Blu Hunt.
Said to have more of a horror vibe than previous X-Men movies, it follows five youngsters with extraordinary abilities who are being held against their will in a mysterious medical facility.
The New Mutants is released in the US on April 3 and in the UK on April 8.
