Star Wars actor Daisy Ridley has revealed her character Rey's confrontation with returning baddie Emperor Palpatine in the upcoming trilogy capper The Rise of Skywalker was among her favourites to shoot.
In a recent interview with USA Today, the 27-year-old admitted that she was initially hesitant about how the Senator-turned-Sith Lord's comeback would weave into the franchise's newest saga when director JJ Abrams first told her about it.
But once she read the script, her worries disappeared.

"I guess I had all the questions that a lot of other people have," she told the publication. "And then I was like, 'OK, this is f***ing awesome.'"
John Boyega – who plays Finn – had a similar reaction to the "dope" scene, making sure to come in on his day off just to watch Ridley shoot it.
"I was just like, 'I can't wait to see that onscreen.' He's definitely a formidable challenge for Rey and everything that's going down with her," he said. "He's scary. But it's so, so cool."

Chris Terrio (who co-wrote the screenplay with Abrams) reckons the meeting will quash fan concerns too, as he describes it as "an interesting musical counterpoint".
He also believes that Palpatine's inclusion in Episode 9 sums up the theme of the movie, saying: "Every generation needs to re-fight the old evil that really never dies."
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a release date of Thursday, December 19 in the UK and Friday, December 20 in the US.
