Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will bring the Skywalker Saga to an end when it's released next month, but that doesn't mean Episode IX is going to have a cut-and-dry ending.
Naomi Ackie, who will play the "helpful warrior" Jannah in the upcoming film, has admitted that fans will still be asking "questions" when the series comes to a close – but that that's the point entirely.
Hinting at an open-ended story, Naomi also told Metro that Star Wars fans will ultimately be divided by the conclusion.

"There are some people that leave it that might feel like they've got everything they wanted", she explained.
"But there might still be more questions, and that's the whole point. The story continues."

Speaking from her own perspective as a fan, the actress said that The Rise of Skywalker "encapsulates what the whole saga has been about", adding that she at least feels satisfied with this end of an era.
"I think I will feel like it's been a long time coming and I'll feel like a conclusion to what has been a brilliant saga," she added.
Last month, Naomi shared a little more detail about her role in Episode IX, calling her character Jannah a "warrior" who "shows up at the right time".
"She comes into contact with the rest of the group at a point where they need some help," she said. "She is part of the Resistance, and she's spent a long time acquiring skills that might be helpful when it comes to the big conclusion of the film."
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a release date of Thursday, December 19 in the UK and Friday, December 20 in the US.
