Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker "does deal" with Rey and Kylo Ren relationship

Star Wars' sequel trilogy has so far left audiences in the dark over just what is going on between Rey and Kylo Ren.

The pair developed a rather ambiguous connection in The Last Jedi, leading fans to speculate whether it is romantic or something else entirely.

Well, it seems that new movie The Rise of Skywalker will deal with this, at least according to star Daisy Ridley - who has addressed all those 'Reylo' fan theories.

"It does not bother me, people writing theories," she told Entertainment Weekly. "It's really fun hearing them.

"Plus, because I know what's sort of going to happen, I think it'll be really interesting to see people’s reaction to [the final film]. Obviously, there’s this whole Reylo thing and some people are very passionate about it, some aren't."

She then confirmed: "[Director] JJ [Abrams] does deal it [it]. It's a very complex issue. People talk about toxic relationships and whatever it is. It's no joke and I think it's dealt with really well because it's not skimmed over."

As well as giving us some answers on Rey and Kylo Ren's relationship, it also sounds like The Rise of Skywalker will answer two other major questions.

Co-writer Chris Terrio recently teased: "'Who is Rey?' is one of them. As is 'How strong is The Force?'"

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a release date of Thursday, December 19 in the UK and Friday, December 20 in the US.
