The first trailer for Disney's Jungle Cruise is here at last.

Starring Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt and Jack Whitehall, the movie is due to land in cinemas in 2020, and you can see the first footage above.

Johnson took to Instagram on Monday (October 7) to share a clip of himself and co-star Blunt building excitement for Jungle Cruise at Disney's D23 event.

Jungle Cruise is inspired by the Disneyland ride, first imagined and designed by Walt Disney in 1955.

In a previous Instagram post, Johnson wrote: "Myself and my adventuring co-star, Emily Blunt are honoured to bring this beloved and iconic Disney ride to life on the big screen next summer.

"We'll do our best to make Walt proud and deliver the adventure of a lifetime, awesomely bad puns and of course – the backside of water."

As well as Johnson, Blunt and Whitehall, the film also stars Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti, and Edgar Ramirez, with Jaume Collet-Serra directing.

Jungle Cruise was originally expected to hit cinemas this year, but has since been pushed back to July 24, 2020.
