Olivia Wilde has insisted that she enjoyed embodying the "kick-ass" nature of her Tron: Legacy character Quorra.

Speaking to Reuters, the actress remarked that she is pleased to have finally found a worthwhile role in a top action film.

"It's interesting because I am drawn to those kick-ass roles," she said. "I always knew that eventually I'd get to play a really great one."

Wilde also explained that one of the perks of working on the film was that it helped her to get fit.

"I was ripped! Never been that way before; never will be again," she jested.

Tron: Legacy is released on December 17 in US and UK cinemas.
