You might not have your own genie to grant you three wishes, but if one of your requests would be a sequel to Aladdin then you might just be in luck.
The team behind the 2019 Disney outing have already discussed ideas for a follow-up.
"When we first made the movie, [we] wanted to just make the best movie we could and let audiences tell us if they wanted to see more," producer Dan Lin recently explained to Comic Book.

"I would say resoundingly audiences want to see more. They've watched this movie multiple times.
"We have lots of fan letters about people who really go back and they bring their friends and bring their family, and so we feel like there's more story to tell."
Lin – who has also produced titles such as The Lego Batman Movie and Sherlock Holmes – went on to add that if they were to start developing a sequel, they wouldn't do "a shot-by-shot remake of anything that's been done before". (Sorry, Return of Jafar.)
Aladdin certainly wasn't a carbon copy of the original Disney movie either. For starters, Jasmine's role in the story was much more fleshed out and she even got her own song.

Elsewhere, a new female character called Dalia (played by Nasim Pedrad) was introduced and Jafar is slightly less creepy.
"We're really looking at what's been done before in the past and the home video, and there's just more story to tell with the underlying materials," Lin added. "So without giving away too much, we are certainly exploring where we can go with this franchise."
Aladdin is released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 23, 2019.
