Does X-Men: Dark Phoenix have a post-credits scene?

Unlike the MCU, the X-Men series hasn't always featured post-credits scenes, but has been doing more in recent movies.

Recently, X-Men: Days of Future Past teased the arrival of En Sabah Nur as a set-up for X-Men: Apocalypse, which also had its own post-credits scene that introduced the Essex Corporation into the movie universe.

But with the Disney-Fox deal being finalised and X-Men: Dark Phoenix positioned as the "culmination" of this series, it's perhaps no surprise that there's not a single post-credits scene.

Barring an unlikely crossover to the MCU, Dark Phoenix will likely be the final outing for this particular class of X-Men, so it makes sense there's nothing post-credits as any set-up would go unfulfilled.

What we do get is a tribute to Stan Lee, as the movie is dedicated to him early on in the credits.

And however much you might have wanted a cameo from an MCU star, the much-anticipated arrival of the X-Men into the MCU is still a long way off, so it was never likely to happen.

"It'll be a while. It's all just beginning and the five-year plan that we've been working on, we were working on before any of that was set," said Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige earlier this year.

"So really it's much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they're home. That they're all back."

Dark Phoenix could, of course, have had a teaser for The New Mutants which will technically be the final Fox X-Men movie. However, with that movie set to go into reshoots later this year, its future is still uncertain.

Like Avengers: Endgame, Dark Phoenix is just concerned with ending this particular chapter of X-Men. Only here, it's because this really is the end of this X-Men universe.
