Sir Elton John seems like the kind of person to lavishly dote upon his close friends, but it seems even they aren't safe from his famous tongue-lashings.

Taron Egerton became very good pals with the 'Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting' singer while working on the upcoming biopic 'real-life fantasy' movie Rocketman, but he's now admitted that he found himself in trouble with the star after getting up to mischief at Elton's house.

Appearing on last night's (May 3) The Graham Norton Show, Taron said that he and his girlfriend were staying with Elton and David Furnish, and the Kingsman actor drunkenly decided to have a raid of Elton's pantry at 3am.

"It was all going really well, and we were all having a really lovely time," Taron began, before explaining that, unfortunately, he got caught by Elton's head of security during his rummage in the middle of the night.

"I thought Elton didn't know," he continued. "And the following day, he just went: 'You know you're a little shit, don't you?'"

Oops.

Elsewhere, there were reports that the film had cut a gay sex scene between Taron's Elton and Richard Madden's John Reid, but the star recently denied that was the case, and said that the scene was something special.

"The rawness of that experience, the fear of that experience, but also the joy of the experience of Elton's first kiss... it's electric, it's exciting, your stomach is doing somersaults," he explained.

Meanwhile, Graham is going to take his first ever break from hosting his long-running chat show while he jets off to Tel Aviv for the Eurovision Grand Final later this month, but Jack Whitehall will be on hand to fill his place on the sofa.

The Graham Norton Show airs Friday nights on BBC One, while Rocketman hits cinemas on May 24.
