Sequential has added new chapters of Charley's War to its iPad app.

Parts 5-8 of Pat Mills and Joe Colquhoun's classic war comic are now available to read digitally.

First published in Battle Picture Weekly over 30 years ago, the comics have been restored for digital by Egmont's Classic Comics imprint.

The new chapters are on sale for £1.99 each, with part one currently available to download for free.

Alan Moore has said that "none [have come] even close to matching the depiction of inhumanity and misery conjured up by Pat Mills' and Joe Colquhoun's masterful Charley's War".

The remaining six parts of the Charley's War series will be released by the end of December, in the lead-up to 2014 - the centenary of the outbreak of World War I.

What to Read Next

Other recent releases include a free biography comic of Alan Moore, a free charity collection of vintage Neil Gaiman comics, Troop 142 by Mike Dawson, The Black Feather Falls by Ellen Lindner and a range of Fat Freddy's Cat and Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers books.

Panel Nine's Sequential is available worldwide to download for free from Apple's App Store.
