The first volume of underground legend Gilbert Shelton's The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers collects the first stories from the seminal strip.

"First published in the early '70s, these hilarious strips still have a cult following and have influenced countless comics artists over the past 40 years," said Sequential.

Kevin Mutch's Fantastic Life was a 2010 Xeric Award Winner and featured in Best American Comics 2011. Set in Winnipeg in 1982, the book centres around the misadventures of a young slacker who begins to question his sanity against a backdrop of punk rock, quantum mechanics and the living dead.

"Almost everything in Fantastic Life - including the zombie nightmares - is based on real events from Kevin Mutch's youth, pulled apart and stitched back together for the sake of making the book," said Sequential.
