Titan Comics has released a preview of Lenore #8, launching the new 'Purple Nurples' arc in which the cartoonist promised a character would die.

The graphic novel Monocle will centre around a psychologist who discovers a plot by interdimensional creatures to kidnap humans because "we're their caviar", reports Comic Book Resources.

Dirge is collaborating with artist Brent J Trembath on String Bean - his first superhero project - which centres around an inventor who builds an Iron Man-like suit that he cannot control.

He is also developing the gender-bending comedy animation Princess Battle Boy for Nickelodeon.

Elsewhere, he addressed the recent accident in which he and his girlfriend were run over by an SUV.

When asked what he would take from the experience, he said that he wanted to "live".

"I just want to get things done," he said.

He promised he was not "forsaking" Lenore for his other projects.

Lenore #8 will be released on July 31.
