'Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate' new screenshots released by Capcom

Capcom has released new Monster Hunter 3 images for the 3DS.

The latest Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate images showcase some of the monsters and environments.

The game will feature cross-platform online play between both the Wii U and 3DS versions. Players will also be able to transfer saved data between the two versions.

The 3DS version will offer local four-player co-op, as well as StreetPass functionality to share a hunter's information.

The touchscreen on both platforms allows players to access weapons, field maps, mini-games and books quickly.

Previously announced as Monster Hunter 3G, the game was originally scheduled for an autumn 3DS release in Europe, but has been pushed back.

The Wii U will launch on November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe. It will be available in two bundles priced at $299 and $349.

Pricing for Europe will be determined by retailers. UK outlets are currently offering pre-orders at £250 for the basic unit and between £280 and £300 for the Premium edition.

Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate will release in North America and Europe from March 2013 on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
