The free games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers for October have been revealed.

Subscribers can download Super Meat Boy and Broken Age on PS4 and Vita from next Tuesday (October 6).

Unmechanical Extended is coming to both PS4 and PS3, while Vita and PS3 owners can play Kickbeat and Kung Fu Rabbit. PS3 owners also get access to Chariot.

It means that September's games such as Grow Home and Super Time Force Ultra will be phased out in the coming week, including Driveclub PS Plus Edition, which has been a free download for several months.

The line-up in full:

  • Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita)
  • Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita)
  • Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3)
  • Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3)
  • Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3)
  • Chariot (PS3)

The start of September marked a price increase for PlayStation Plus subscriptions, with subscriptions going up to £5.99 per month.

The PS4 has also just seen a major firmware update, adding YouTube broadcasting and new social features, as well as a dedicated PlayStation Plus hub area.
