The three TCG decks for Rowlet, Litten and Popplio were sent out online by the official Pokémon Japanese Twitter account, following a massive demo leak.

The Sun and Moon creators recently revealed why some of the creature designs on the game are so nuts.

Some of these include a sandcastle Pokémon and an Exeggutor palm tree, the latter of which needed some explaining from Shigeru Ohmori, the director of Sun and Moon.

"When the designers first came up with the idea, the background is that the sun in Alola is so strong, that [Exeggutor] just keeps growing and growing," he said.

However, when asked if they were trolling their audience, Ohmori continued: "For the 20th anniversary, we wanted to have a lot of special surprises… we wanted a funny element.

"At the same time, we had to find a balance of cool ones, serious ones. We looked at the Alola region as a whole and thought about that ecosystem."

By the looks of it, these new evolved forms look to add to the list of crazy creatures, which also includes this rather bizarre-looking thing among its roster.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will arrive on the 3DS on Friday, November 18.
