However, as any seasoned user of the web knows, you've only really made it when you have provoked more memes than everyone else - and Pokémon Go is certainly a success in that regard.

1. The Squirtle problem
This famous video has done the rounds in a wide range of contexts, but it seems to fit the "don't distract me, I'm stalking virtual monsters" attitude of Pokémon Go. (Of course, we're not condoning playing the game near large bodies of water, but hey - those water-type Pokémon aren't going to catch themselves.)

This is a heart-warming tale of the desire to find the most famous yellow rodent on the face of the planet. The lesson here? If you need to ask permission, you've already lost.
