According to Sega, 3D Streets of Rage 2 has been completely rebuilt to utilise the 3DS' stereoscopic 3D while remaining faithful to the original game - which was first released on the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis in 1992.

It also introduces a new 'Casual' mode in which enemies are killed as soon as they hit the ground.

Players who beat the game will unlock its 'Fists of Death' mode, which is described as a one-hit-one-kill mode designed to keep players in the grips of white-knuckle tension.

In addition, the 3DS version supports local co-op and offers different emulation settings - including the Japanese version and various display modes.
