Konami has apologised to Metal Gear Online users for the game's troubled launch.

The game suffered matchmaking and stability issues, but Konami has assured fans that the service is currently stable.

"We hereby apologise sincerely for the connection, as well as matching stability issues recurring since the MGO service started, that may have caused inconveniences," reads a post on its Japanese site (via Eurogamer).

"We will continue to improve so that your experience is more pleasant."

On the plus side, all players will now be credited with 3,000GP. Furthermore, players with XP boost codes will have an extra week to activate them.
