An Amazon listing for the game's art book may have just leaked the Mass Effect: Andromeda release date.

The reputed comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics is to release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda, a compendium of scribbles related to the space-RPG title.

The hardcover book is listed on Amazon as releasing on March 21 - a date which fits with the "early 2017" date provided by BioWare.

Mass Effect: Andromedapinterest

This is pretty compelling evidence of a late March release date for the game, made even more so by the text which reads: "Dark Horse will release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda simultaneously with the game!"

This could simply be a mistake, or an attempt by Dark Horse to predict the game's eventual release date and provide itself a little wiggle room either side.

BioWare has been fairly tight-lipped about Andromeda since its announcement last year. With the exception of a 4K tech demo and some light details about the expanded freedom it will offer players, very little is known about the game.

What to Read Next

It's probable that the venerated developer will reveal more information on "N7 Day" (November 7 - see what they did there?), which both BioWare and EA have established as a day of Mass Effect celebration.

Things we know Andromeda will feature:

  • An expanded universe with more freedom to roam
  • A departure from game's current location
  • 4K
  • Protagonists who are siblings
  • Improbably skin-tight space armour

We'll be keeping our eyes peeled on November 7 for more information.
