You can cross Mass Effect Andromeda off your Christmas lists this winter, because it looks like the game has been delayed until 2017.
The fourth game in the Mass Effect saga has never been given a definitive release date, but it was previously being advertised for the 2016 Christmas period on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

However, in a presentation at the Morgan Stanley Tech Conference (via IB Times), EA financial chief Blake Jorgensen suggested that the company had something a bit different in mind.
He said: "We have our Mirror's Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect, which is a sci-fi action game, in our fourth quarter. So big year ahead and we're pretty excited."
Seeing as how Jorgensen was referring to the financial year, that means Mass Effect Andromeda will likely launch between January and March next year.
On the plus side, Jorgensen said that both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 5 will launch later this year, so at least you can put those on your Christmas lists.
Mass Effect Andromeda is the fourth entry in the series, following 2012's Mass Effect 3. The story will shift the action to the titular Andromeda galaxy.
"A new adventure awaits in the Mass Effect universe. With stunning visuals and a new galaxy to discover, BioWare delivers the next generation of space exploration," reads BioWare's synopsis for the game.
We can't wait...
