One of the ongoing mysteries in Halo since the series began is what Master Chief actually looks like under his armour.

According to 343 Industries creative director Tim Longo, don't expect to find out anytime soon.

"I actually don't even know if I can talk about that… He doesn't take his helmet off," he told Gamerant.

The question comes off the back of Halo 4's Legendary ending, where fans got to see a quick glimpse of the Chief's eyes:

Halo 5's story will see the action jump between two seemingly opposed squadrons led by Master Chief and Spartan Locke, a rivalry that is teased on the game's cover art.

As well as a more story-driven co-op campaign, multiplayer will introduce the new Warzone mode, which features both player and computer-controlled enemies.
