You won't be able to access Halo 5: Guardians' online co-op if all you have is an Xbox Live Silver account.
343 Industries' upcoming first-person shooter will require Xbox Live Gold to play its co-op campaign, according to executive producer Josh Holmes.
"I misspoke during the [Game Informer] interview when stating that online co-op campaign would be supported with an Xbox Live Silver account," Holmes said in an update on Halo Waypoint.
"Co-op campaign will require Xbox Live Gold to play. I want to extend my sincere apologies to our fans, and to Game Informer, for this error and any confusion it has caused."
343 will be offering fans a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial with Halo 5.
The developer recently confirmed that the game doesn't include support for split-screen co-op.
