After Halo: The Master Chief Collection, no Halo game will launch without a beta.
343 Industries reflects on last year's problematic release and admits it had 'let its fans down' in the latest issue of Game Informer (via VideoGamer).

"Everything we do in Halo should be a triple-A experience," studio head Bonnie Ross said.
Ross also suggested that shipping all four titles in the collection separately may have helped 343 avoid some of the issues that were encountered.
"When we set out to do the Master Chief Collection, the original pitch that we wanted to do was sort of a war chest," she said.

"Ship all four games separately. Package them up. And the team came up with this idea of this universal UI. It is a magical experience when you can pull it all together and seamlessly move across games, but it's also very ambitious."
343 recently confirmed that the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians doesn't include support for split-screen cooperative play.
