Halo 5: Guardians doesn't include support for split-screen cooperative play.
The upcoming game will mark the first time a main entry in the Halo series hasn't supported the feature, according to the latest issue of Game Informer.
Split-screen co-op has been a staple since the series began in 2001 with Halo: Combat Evolved.
On a more positive note, Halo 5 will offer all players a chance to download all of its post-release multiplayer maps for free.
That's on top of the 20 maps that are scheduled to launch with the game.
It was recently revealed that Nathan Fillion's character Edward Buck will be featured in Halo 5.
The game is set to launch as an Xbox One exclusive on October 27, alongside a limited-edition console.
