You'll be able to chainsaw gun your way through hordes of enemies in Gears of War 4 this year.
The Coalition has just confirmed that the Gears of War 4 release date is set for October 11 on Xbox One - a lovely pre-Christmas blood-soaked present for everyone.
The release date news is apparently part of a "chain of upcoming revelations about what's in store for JD Fenix and the next generation of Gears heroes".
As we know, the game follows the story of Marcus Fenix's son - JD - and two other new characters. The entire game actually takes place over the course of 24 hours.
"Harkening back to the dark and intense roots of the original classic, fans can expect a familiar, yet distinct evolution of gameplay, including brutal and intimate action, a heart-pounding campaign, genre-defining multiplayer and stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4."
It's also been revealed that the game will feature split-screen co-op for all modes.
