Call of Duty may be facing a bit of a backlash at the moment, but it's still one of the most successful gaming franchises of all time.

Now, fans are looking back over the history of the first-person shooter series and the impact it's had in a Call of Duty documentary. A CODumentary, if you will.

The documentary promises to focus on the development of the series over the year, but also on the huge community that has come together over their shared love of headshots and teabagging.

Professional players, eSports hosts and even team coaches are among the interviewees in the 90-minute documentary, which will be released later in the year.

The next game in the series, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, is due to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in November. Game of Thrones' Kit Harington is set to play the main villain. Watch the trailer right here:
