The days when Xbox got all the Call of Duty content early seem like a lifetime ago.
Activision has announced that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered campaign will be playable early on PS4.

PS4 owners can play the single-player story mode 30 days before the full game and Infinite Warfare launch on November 4.
Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until November to play the game's multiplayer maps and modes, and you still need to buy Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Legacy Pro Edition to get your hands on it.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will feature improved texture resolution, high-dynamic range lighting, revamped animation and crisper audio.
The upcoming Modern Warfare remake will also ship with 10 of your old favourite multiplayer maps, including 'Crash', 'Backlot', 'Crossfire', 'Overgrown' and 'Bog'.
With original Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward hard at work on Infinite Warfare, development of the remastered Call of Duty will be handled by Raven Software, the team behind Singularity and 2009's Wolfenstein.
As for Infinite Warfare, it will be set in and around space, as players fight off a relentless enemy from the confines of a warship.
According to Activision, it will be a near seamless experience with few loading times, as players take it to the enemy on land, before flying off into the solar system.
The game was given a new trailer at E3, which showed off new zero gravity gameplay sections. There's also a rather nice grapple hook that's used to pull enemies towards you and to move around in zero gravity.
