Call of Duty fans will have the chance to shoot up Nuketown for real at an XP event later this year. 

Activision has announced that it will host the first XP convention since 2011 in September, and give gamers the chance to play paintball in a replica of the famous map.

The event will also feature Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered builds and PlayStation VR experience.

Zombie laser tag and the Call of Duty World League Championship will also take place at the fan forum, which features a surprise musical guest.

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10am PT on June 11 at CallofDuty.com.

Nuketown was first introduced in 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Meanwhile, it was previously announced that the rumoured Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remake is actually happening.
