The countdown is officially on for the unveiling of Assassin's Creed's next instalment.

Ubisoft released a teaser today (May 7) to confirm a world premiere live stream event will take place on May 12 at 5pm BST/10am ET.

The mysterious clip offers few new hints about the upcoming title, other than displaying the phrase: "Oppression has to end."

A late 2014 leak revealed that the new game will be called Assassin's Creed Victory and that it will be set in Victorian London with a new playable protagonist.
