What to Read Next
There isn't much different about this Virtual Console version compared to the original release(s), aside from the - rather big - fact that you no longer need to own multiple versions of the game or have friends to link your Game Boy up to in order to catch 'em all.

February 27 also marks Pokemon's 20th anniversary, which should probably make you feel old and scared. There are set to be plenty of other Poke-events to tie in with the birthday year, but the re-release of Red, Blue and Yellow ranks up there as one of the biggest.

It's also fair to say the games have had something of a lasting impact on some players - even in the Minecraft community.
