World of Warcraft, Diablo and Hearthstone developer Blizzard Entertainment has just passed its 25-year anniversary, which in games industry terms might as well be forever.
Blizzard has changed a lot over the years, developing mega hits in multiple genres - indeed, its first-person arena shooter Overwatch is due out in June this year - and it exists today as part of publishing giant Activision Blizzard.
To celebrate this milestone, Blizzard has released a video, which you can watch below:
"It's with a great deal of joy that we celebrate Blizzard's 25th Anniversary," says a celebratory blog on Battle.Net.
"In February of 1991, our founders came together to make video games, and it wouldn't be long before they began work on the first new world built entirely by Blizzard Entertainment: Azeroth.
"The many stories and varied types of gameplay that have taken place on Azeroth (and later, Draenor) have never stopped coming. The history of Warcraft and the history of Blizzard Entertainment are fully intertwined, with each passing year falling into a unique Warcraft era for players.
