Once The Division is out, players can look forward to free additional content and updates post-launch.

Ubisoft's upcoming online multiplayer game, which arrives on March 8, 'won't be complete' from the get-go.

"An online game isn't done on release day," creative director Massive Magnus Jansén said at a recent event in Los Angeles (via IGN).

"We've been working on this game for quite a while, and we're very happy to release it, but our work is not done then.

"We're gonna kick [the post-launch] off with a couple of free updates, new content and new features, and down the line we'll have normal DLC as well."

Wondering what the new content will consist of? Ubisoft isn't going to spill the beans just yet.

What to Read Next

"We're not ready to go into detail, but we just wanted to let you know that we know that," Jansén added.

"You can't just abandon it when it's released, we know it takes a lot more than that."

The Division will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. A multiplayer beta is set to take place later this month across all platforms simultaneously.
