The demo weighs in at 4.6GB on PlayStation 4, and only 1.6GB on the PlayStation 3.
Xbox One and Xbox 360 demos will be available to download later today (September 9).
As well as a standard Kick-off mode, the free demo features Ultimate Team's new Draft mode, as well as the FIFA Trainer tool, skill games and the USA and Germany women's national teams.
The demo will also feature the new Bundesliga Broadcast match presentation, and a total of 10 club teams to choose from, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The full FIFA 16 will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Android and iOS from September 22.
