Will Ferrell has launched a crowdfunding charity campaign, offering people a chance to have a two-hour gaming session with him.
If the Anchorman star reaches his £375,000 target on his Indiegogo page, one contributor chosen at random will be flown out to San Francisco for a special gaming event.
Speaking about the fundraiser, the actor riffed: "I know the popular perception of gamers is that we are all extremely motivated, highly philanthropic and impossibly good looking. Let's not alter people's perceptions".
The campaign offers rewards for the tiered donations: a $10 pledge will get contributors $5 in Amazon credit for digital games purchases, while a $1,500 pledge promises a personalised video message from Ferrell himself.
Other rewards include signed Xbox controllers, cowbells, and a limited edition Ferrell-branded sun cream.
The proceeds will be donated to Cancer for College, which provides cancer survivors with college scholarships, as well as DonateGames.org, which uses video games to enrich the lives of cancer patients.
The gaming event with Ferrell and the lucky winner will be broadcast live on Twitch on October 26.
