During a Comic-Con panel that featured the likes of producer Mike Gamble and lead animator Carl Boulay, BioWare showed the first footage of the game's returning Mako all-terrain vehicle.
With the upcoming game focusing on exploration, the Mako will be much faster than it was in the original game, and will no longer be equipped with a canon.
The firm also showcased some of the game's new armour designs, although playable races and settings were not confirmed.
According to Metro, Mike Gamble hinted at co-operative multiplayer, and while previous characters could make cameos, there will be little or no reference to the original trilogy.
