Compulsion Games announced today that Contrast has passed 1 million downloads.
The developer revealed the milestone was largely due to downloads from the PlayStation Store, and it is celebrating by discounting the game by up to 50% on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
Guillaume Provost, Founder and Creative Director at Compulsion Games, told PlayStation Lifestyle: "We're overwhelmed with the fan support and look forward to sharing Contrast with a whole new audience."
The noir puzzle-platformer was one of two titles available for free for PlayStation Plus members on PS4 at launch.
Contrast centres around Didi, a young girl living in a German expressionist-styled world, and her adventures with her imaginary friend Dawn.
It features a mechanic which allows players to shift between the real 3D world and a 2D shadow world.
Players can manipulate shadows in the real world to create new paths in the 2D platform areas.
