Original story: Borderlands 2 on PS Vita has been given a release date.
The first-person shooter will debut on PlayStation's handheld console on March 18 in Europe, according to a tweet by publisher 2K Games which has since been deleted.
Borderlands 2 was originally released in September 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.
A handheld version was announced at gamescom last year but details of the port have yet to be announced.
It was revealed to be the most played game of 2012, according to social gaming site Raptr.
