Diablo 3's Auction Houses are back online following emergency maintenance.

Developer Blizzard Entertainment was forced to suspend all transactions after a gold exploit in patch 1.0.8 was discovered.

The glitch, which was reported last week, enabled players to take advantage of a simple trick that allowed money to be duplicated.

Blizzard moved quickly to correct the issue, but the service remained offline for around two days.

Diablo 3 was released for PC and Mac computers last May.

The game has been confirmed for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but the console edition is yet to be assigned a release date.
