Captain Cold will have a frosty reunion with his father in the second season of The Flash, as Michael Ironside joins the series.
Ironside has been cast in the DC Comics series as Leonard Snart's (Wentworth Miller) abusive father Lewis Snart, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ironside's film and television career dates back nearly 40 years, with memorable roles in Top Gun, Total Recall and Starship Troopers.
The second season episode 'Family of Rogues' will centre on career criminal Lewis getting out of prison and launching a scheme that puts his son in danger.
'Family of Rogues' also features the return of Peyton List as Leonard's kid sister Lisa Snart, the sexy schemer known as Golden Glider.
