Director David Nutter and fans both found Cersei's dramatic 'walk of shame' on this week's Game of Thrones finale "excruciating" - though perhaps for very different reasons.
While Nutter explained the emotional journey of the queen regent's nude walk through the slums of King's Landing, some viewers were more taken with the quality of the CGI used to 'enhance' Lena Headey's performance.
They complained that a body double had been used - quite possibly due to Headey's pregnancy - and the effects added to lengthen the actress's neck and change the shape of her head.
Nutter told The Hollywood Reporter that it was the scene in 'Mother's Mercy' that he was most concerned about getting right.
"Lena went on an emotional journey through it," he said. "It was a situation in which you really felt like she was in excruciating physical and emotional turmoil and pain.
"I felt a little bit sorry for her, which is what I was going after."
