Responding to a fan, Ventimiglia revealed on Twitter that he will not reprise his role of Peter Petrelli for the upcoming NBC event series.

Ventimiglia added: "I'll be watching", and wished his former co-star Jack Coleman "the best" on the project.
Coleman, who plays Noah Bennet, is the only Heroes cast member confirmed to be returning for the revival.
Back in April, Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) revealed that she had not been contacted about the project, and only learnt of its existence when it was announced to the public in February.
