American Horror Story: Apocalypse is getting even more meta than we thought possible by having a second cast member playing multiple characters from past seasons.

It was already announced that Sarah Paulson would have a crucial presence as Coven's Supreme Witch Cordelia Goode, in addition to reprising spiritual medium Billie Dean Howard from Murder House and playing brand new character Venable.

But she's not alone in having dual roles as Taissa Farmiga will also be splitting her time between two characters she originated in previous seasons.

Ryan Murphy himself announced that Taissa, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks would reunite with Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson as the witches from Coven to battle the ultimate evil.

Now, Entertainment Weekly reports that Taissa will also bring back Violet Harmon from the original Murder House season alongside her on-screen parents Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott. This all but confirms that Britton and McDermott are also reprising their roles as the elder Harmons.

Jessica Lange will be back for one episode too as Murder House's sadistic Constance Langdon, who has raised Violet's half-brother Michael (aka the antichrist) — who will now be grown and played by The Assassination of Gianni Versace's Cody Fern.

What to Read Next

Evan Peters (aka the father of the antichrist from Murder House) will be back too, although he's only been confirmed to play a totally new character thus far.

The implications of Violet somehow meeting Coven's Zoe Benson (also played by Taissa) are somewhat mind-boggling, but also par for the course for American Horror Story. If The Nun somehow shows up, we'll flip out...
