Megan Boone, who plays Liz Keen on The Blacklist, has vowed that her character will never use an assault rifle again.
The actress made the declaration following the recent mass shooting at a Florida high school, in which 17 students and faculty members were killed.

Megan, who grew up in The Villages, Florida, posted on Twitter: "Liz Keen will never carry an assault rifle again and I am deeply sorry for participating in glorifying them in the past. Yours, girl from Florida."
Although some fans have suggested that she should separate fiction from reality, others have praised her for the decision.
When one follower in particular questioned why she wouldn't use a rifle, Boone replied back explaining: "I am not SWAT."

Megan has played FBI agent Elizabeth Keen on the NBC drama series since it started airing in 2013.
The Blacklist was confirmed for its fifth season last year, with NBC picking it up for 22 more episodes which are currently airing.
Although, its spinoff Redemption was unfortunately dropped after it premiered last year and fell short in the ratings.
