The thought of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin meeting isn't the most reassuring, but now that we've seen how their first meeting went down at yesterday's G20 summit, we're even less okay with it.

But probably not for the reason you think.

Yep, both Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright tried to warn us, but now it's confirmed: Trump's presidency may be turning into the real-life embodiment of House of Cards.

Don't just take our word for it, have a look at this eerily accurate comparison of Trump and Putin's meeting and Frank Underwood and Viktor Petrov. *Shudders*

While talking about the ideas behind House of Cards recently, Kevin Spacey admitted that a lot of what the writers dream up ends up playing out in the real world. Which is totally fine.

"Some time between when we shoot [the season] and then the series drops, one or two or three or five or six things that we adventured in and described and played happen in the real world," he revealed.

"And we always go, 'People are gonna think that we stole it from the headlines', but actually it's the other way round."

Oh good.
