Everyone knows that The Walking Dead season seven is building up to a big showdown between our hero Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and big bad Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)...
And at last night's (March 17) PaleyFest LA panel, showrunner Scott Gimple seemingly dropped some juicy details about it.
OK, he didn't mention anything specific, but did say (via TVLine): "The end of this season is very much the end of a chapter."
Seeing that this season has been all about making Negan the worst human being ever, we're hoping this is the "chapter" he's on about.
Going beyond that, Gimple said that the season seven finale is "more about setting up the next hundred episodes"
Once again, we weren't told what to expect, except that "it's about setting up this gigantic, epic tale to come — not only in Season 8, but beyond".

Elsewhere at the panel, original comic creator Robert Kirkman praised Jeffrey Dean Morgan's portrayal of everyone's favourite bat-swinging sadist, saying: "(Negan) is this horrible person... but he has this spark to him that's really engaging and really entertaining.
"Jeffrey portrayed that so well, there's a warmth to him even when he's performing these horrible things. I don't know how he pulls it off."
Actor Lennie James, who stars as stick-wielding Morgan, previously called the finale "gigantic" and "amazing", adding that the script made him jump "up and down like a giddy schoolboy".
