Don Draper's lifestyle was not exactly healthy, and actor Jon Hamm thinks as a consequence that there is no way he would be alive today.
The ad genius at the centre of Mad Men was known for his boozing, smoking and womanising, which may have taken its toll on Don after the events of the show.
"He'd be in his 80s and there ain't no way that guy is getting into his 80s without a massive lifestyle shift," Hamm told The Rich Eisen Show.
The acclaimed series wrapped in 2015, and in the last scene we saw Don meditating at a hippie retreat centre, apparently completely surrendering to the retreat and its philosophy, with the show suggesting that Draper came up with the iconic 1971 Coca Cola "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" campaign as a result.
But according to Hamm, that sudden change in lifestyle never would have lasted.
"I don't think that stuck," Hamm continued. "I don't think that zen moment of understanding anything really stuck. That leopard ain't changing his spots."

Despite the divisive ending, the star said he was satisfied in how Mad Men wrapped, adding: "I thought it was a very poetic, very nice way to end the show, and also very cryptic, which sticks in the realm of the show's vocabulary anyway.
"It's nice to be able talk about a show you like and not have it have to be spoon fed to you."
