Superman might be soaring onto the small-screen - but don't expect Batman to follow suit.

The Dark Knight will not be popping up on any of DC's TV shows - Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

Executive producer Greg Berlanti confirmed at the Television Critics Association press tour that there are no plans to introduce any major characters from the Bat-verse, according to IGN.

And even more bad news - it doesn't sound like John Constantine (Matt Ryan) will be reappearing any time soon either.

Ryan reprised his role on Arrow after the character's own NBC series was canned - but Berlanti revealed that there have been no further conversations with DC about using the character.

"Constantine exists in a certain place in the DC world and universe," he said. "They're kind of internally examining what they want to do with that character next."
