If you're still grieving for The 100's fallen hero Lexa, don't worry... so is Clarke actress Eliza Taylor.

Taylor told press including Digital Spy that she hopes to see her character mourn for her lost lover next season.

"She didn't get a chance to do so [last season]," Taylor said at San Diego Comic-Con. "It was like, Lexa passed away and then, OK, now we have to save the world - again!

"So I hope there's time to grieve, I do. Whether or not, that happens though? Or whether or not, it's shown? I don't know. It will be happening internally, always."

The 100's third season finale reunited Clarke and Lexa one last time in the City of Light, with Taylor calling the sequence "beautiful".

"The last episode of season 3 was probably my favourite - I thought it was so wonderful," she said. "It was so nice to see them together and actually touching each other in a world where no-one else could touch them - they just held each other."

Taylor also nominated Lexa's demise as the most difficult scene to perform all last season - admitting that she and co-star Alycia Debnam-Carey "just cried the whole day".

"It was heartbreaking - and it also meant that she was leaving us, which made it really sad.

"It was one of the most challenging [scenes] but one of the most rewarding - I felt like we really acted our butts off that day."

The 100 will return to The CW next year and airs on E4 in the UK.
