It's the ultimate experience for fans of The Walking Dead - and now Digital Spy has the inside scoop on Universal Studios' new live attraction.
Opening next month, the spine-chilling experience has been designed in collaboration with AMC and series executive producer, director and make-up maestro Greg Nicotero.
Propelling guests into the horrifying highlights of all six seasons, it'll feature familiar locations including the hospital where Rick (Andrew Lincoln) woke from his coma and the cannibal hideout Terminus.
"With this attraction, it won't be that you go through once and experience everything the first time," Nicotero told DS. "You will be able to find Easter eggs in every section of the attraction.
"There are live performers, as well as animatronics, so everything will always be a little bit different and will feel organic."
These performers in prosthetics - coupled with animatronic monsters - are designed to give visitors the feeling that they've been dropped right into the middle of the world of The Walking Dead.

"We have some pretty exquisite animatronic characters," said Nicotero. "Bicycle Girl [from the series premiere] has always been my favourite character, so to be able to see that recreated and crawling around is pretty breathtaking."
The attraction will culminate with scenes from the recent sixth season, featuring the brutish Wolves... oh, and a guy named Negan.
"One of the things I wanted to help the team at Universal do was to make sure that the storyline felt relevant," Nicotero explained. "To do that, it meant including current aspects of our storyline that weren't available to them when they were writing the attraction's initial treatment."
That means Negan, the Saviours... and the blood-soaked climax to season six. Dare you embrace the horror?
The Walking Dead permanent attraction opens exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood on July 4.
